I Love NY

 Welcome to Cortland County

Embrace the cold temperatures and snow-covered ground with an array of outdoor activities perfect for couples and families alike. Avid or amateur downhill skiers and snowboarders can enjoy a range of mountain peaks at one of our four area ski resorts: Greek Peak Mountain Resort, Labrador Mountain, Song Mountain, and Toggenburg Mountain Winter Sports Center. We also offer scenic trails perfect for cross-country skiing (Lime Hollow Nature Center), as well as snow-tubing, and snow-shoeing.

If you’re searching for unique restaurants with a scenic view, consider dining mountainside, where our chefs offer an assortment of fine and casual dining experiences! The Foggy Goggle (Toggenburg Mountain) feature a variety of unique ingredient paring; our Trax Pub & Grill (Greek Peak Mountain Resort) melds a creative flare to traditional home-style foods; and The Last Run Bar & Restaurant (Labrador) offers patrons creative pub-style food that replicates classics made at home.

Wine and beer enthusiasts should drop by the new Finger Lakes Tasting Room, which brings the taste of the Finger Lakes Wines to Main Street Cortland. Enjoy an assortment of wines from 24 wineries, beer from five New York State breweries, and other locally-produced spirits. Our very own Cortland Beer Company also offers patrons new winter brews, as well as hard cider and New York State wines and as an added incentive on Friday evenings the Cortland Beer Company’s tap room features live music.

Don’t forget to celebrate the winter season with our annual Homer Winterfest in beautiful, historic Homer: great food, outdoor events, live music, clam chowder cook-offs—and more! And our traditional Chill-a-bration features a competitive chili showdown, as well as a loads of family fun right in the heart of Cortland!
