An animal science teaching and research center consisting of some 2,600 acres, with dairy, beef and sheep units. The headquarters building is associated with the dairy unit and contains offices, a conference room, livestock arena, research laboratory and housing for 8 students. Staff is on-site from 8a-3p weekdays. Be sure to call ahead, tours are by appointment only.

Hill of Beans provides your family with a Christmas experience. You can take a hay wagon ride up the hill and cut your tree. Use one of their saws or bring your own! Started as a fraternal organization in 1867, the Grange was formed to help farmers recover after the Civil War. It also served as a social gathering place where farm families could exchange news and ideas. Legislative work was an important part of the Grange as well. With a history of opposing the railroad monopolies to promoting rural electrification, the Grange is still an active organization with strong ties to the agricultural family.
