July 4   "Twentieth Annual Public Reading of the United States Declaration of Independence"

Homer Congregational Church, Homer Green 10 am. Following a description of the circumstances that led up to the document's adoption in 1776, those who wish will be invited to read a short portion of the Declaration itself. Following the reading, the bells in the churches and other buildings surrounding the Green will be rung 50 times. All are welcome, families in particular, and there is no charge.
